Guidelines for Submissions to The Exchange

The Exchange is published once yearly, in the Spring.

The Exchange seeks original and timely articles that will capture the interest of faculty and
administrators from a range of institutional types. Articles that demonstrate an understanding of
current literature, use jargon‐free language, and provide lessons or insights that readers can use to
improve practice are preferred. We also welcome reviews of books, films, videos, and software related
to teaching, learning, and assessment.

Submissions should be between 500 and 2500 words and not previously published. Longer submissions
may be considered as space permits. After a blind review, authors will be notified of acceptance,
acceptance with changes, or rejection.

The following page set‐up must be adhered to:

• Title of Article, in bold or larger typeface from the submission text
• Figures, graphs, or images can be included within the text but must also be included as a separate, high-quality, high-resolution image file (.jpg)
• Full author names with titles and degree’s earned, institutional affiliations, and complete contact information (emails, phone numbers, and addresses) on a separate page from the actual article. Contact info can be separated from the article by a simple page break or it can be included as a separate document
• Authors must follow the American Psychological Associations Publication Manual for article preparation, style, and references. The 7^th edition is the most current edition but we will accept submissions prepared under the guidelines in the 6^th edition as well.
